Explore Session 2Children learn through play across an eight-point curriculum. They try new skills and meet milestones while having fun. Teachers plan the day so children stay busy and curious. Each child is encouraged to show who they are.
Rooms have space for playing, dancing, and learning. Materials sit on low shelves so children can reach them and put them back. A typical day mixes group time, art, movement, and free play. Teachers move between small groups to give help where it is needed.
Learning goes beyond the classroom through field trips to local farms, parks, and restaurants, plus visiting professionals and seasonal celebrations. One year, baby chicks hatched in the classroom, and the children watched them grow each day before visiting the farm that adopted them. These outings give children real things to observe, ask about, and remember.

Children arrive and hang up their things. They find a spot at the tables or in the play area. Teachers greet each child by name and help them settle. A short group time starts the morning.
The middle of the morning moves between play centers, art, and small-group learning. Children choose activities and teachers join in to ask questions and extend ideas. There is time for music and movement. Snack and rest fit around how the group is doing.
The day winds down with clean-up and one last story or song. Children gather their bags and artwork. At pickup, teachers share a moment from the day with each family. Parents often hear about something their child tried or said.

Teachers share notes at pickup about what a child did. Questions about routines, progress, or the curriculum can be asked in person. A monthly newsletter keeps families up to date. Teachers want to hear what you see at home too.
Starting preschool is a big change. Teachers help a new child find a cubby and a friend. Families can ask how the first days are going and what to practice at home. Settling in takes different amounts of time for different children.

Yes, a tour is how most families decide. Children come along and can see the room and the play areas while you talk with the teacher.
Families usually pack a change of clothes and a comfort item for the first days. Labels on bags, cups, and clothing help things find their way home. The teacher will tell you if anything else is needed.
Schedules depend on the age group and what openings are available. Ask us what is open for your child, and please note that payment is nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for missed classes.
If a place is not open now, you can ask to be told when one opens for your child's age. We will not promise a date, but we will keep your name.
